Most pitch decks have a marketing slide crowded with channel logos and big reach numbers. Investors skip it.

What they want to know is simpler and harder: can this company get customers in a way that repeats, at a cost that leaves room for profit, and will it still work at ten times the size?

What a strong slide shows

  • The one or two channels that already work, with how much it costs to win a customer through each.
  • How long it takes to earn that cost back.
  • Evidence that customers stay and grow over time.
  • What you will do with the money, and what you expect it to produce.

Build the evidence early

You can't assemble this the week before a raise. Start tracking cost per customer by channel, payback time and customer groups by joining month at least two quarters ahead. If the numbers are weak, you will know in time to fix the story, or the business, before you are in the room.
